Tuesday

Things seem too be getting easier. James has his first top tooth through this evening. He also has a terrible cold and chest infection. John took him to the doctors yesterday and he is now on antibiotics and lots of cuddles. John has booked us an appointment to go and see the house on the 11th Feb. We get to choose the décor for the house. James also has starting to feed himself with a spoon. It is very messy.
Trying to arrange a small birthday party for him. We are having it on his birthday (Monday) and have invited the Grandparent and Marley over for cake. Not having a big do as he won't remember it.

James

John was emptying the washing this morning. James took his sock off and put it into the empty machine. I guess it was dirty. He has a bit of a washing machine obsession, he can reach the dials and turn them. 11:00 tonight he had to have a bath. He was sick all over himself and his bed and had fallen asleep in it. Think it was the cheese omelette.

London Boat Show

Last weekend, John, Dad, James and I went to London for the weekend. Dad picked us up early Friday and drove us down to Barking, where we had booked a travelodge. We eventually found it after driving round the whole town a few times. Barking is only a few tube stops from Excel centre.
The boat show was really good. Lot if posh boats that we couldn't afford, but it was nice to look round and see how posh they were. James was very good and enjoyed looking round and as there were 3 of us we took in turns to carry him so he wasn't stuck in his pushchair all the time. We left empty handed about 4 and headed into the city centre. Where is wandered to Hamleys, we then headed back and had noodles for tea.
On Saturday, we travel to the embankment, where we got a boat along the Thames to Greenwich. It was a lovely trip with a good commentary. We went round the Greenwich museum at the top, which was interesting. We saw a laser which points out over London following the median line.
After that we headed back to the car and home. Again James was super apart from half an hour screaming in the car.

Happy baby

I am so lucky to have such a lovely family. James is mostly a happy, smiley baby. John is looking after both of us at the moment as I'm not feeling my best. Though I have been feeling better today. Been to see Holly today. Had a really good natter.
Feeling very content at the moment. 2012 has started well. Lots of exciting things to look forward to. Can't wait.

Thinking.

Was thinking about stuff earlier today. I must write things down before I forget them. Here I go there are random and not in order.

Despite a horrid start I loved feeding James during the night and early morning. It was just me, him and sometimes House. After feeding he would stretch his arms up and arch his back and curl himself round. We used to open the curtains and watch it get light and listen to the birds singing. Was very sad to give it all up but I needed to go back to work.

James, a few months again, say brum brum. Normally it is a happy noise, though if he is upset he says it in a very sad voice and it makes me smile.

Dreamt last night, that while I was asleep John had sanded down all the cupboards in the kitchen, then painted suns on them. He didn't like the sun design so waxed them all. I than had a go at him because we were moving and if he want to sand anything he should do the doors. Keep having weird dreams.

James can click his fingers.

This week he said Dad. He has said it only twice. Thing he has forgotten about it now. He is zooming round crawling now and pulling himself around the furniture. We are still waiting for top teeth. I think there are 4 coming through.

Christmas.

We have had a lovely Christmas. It has been very busy and hectic but really nice. Christmas morning John and I got up about 7:00 James woke up just after us. Father Christmas had been a left a few present in his stocking at the end of his bed. Because Mum was coming round we made sure he was bathed, feed and changed before he began opening his present. He didn't really
get the idea and ripping the paper off and needed a lot of help.
Santa had also left him presents under the tree and together we opened a bouncing Zebra and a car. Mum came round for a bit before she went to Cols. She got me a load of pans which was exactly want I wanted and a lovely jumper. James got a phone, activity table and a stacking hoop set. John got a dressing gown.
We met Dad, Janet and Paul, Grandma and Katie at the Fleece in Burgh for Christmas dinner. It was huge and I couldn't eat it all, John helped me.
At home we opened more prezzies. Spa days, telescopes, toy work benches loads things. We played games until late.
Boxing day we have lunch at Dads, then went to John dads for a few hours. It was nice to see them all, Jess and Harvey were there. We had tea at Dad, Col and Peter and Marley were there. It was nice to see them.
The next day we went to Johns mums. Had a lovely meal that she had cooked. Yesterday and today we have had a day off. Just chilling and playing with our presents. x

Busy Busy

We have been very busy getting ready for Christmas and working. The Christmas tree no longer looks pretty and tidy, as James likes to try and pull bauble baubles off so the bottom half of the tree has nothing on it.
James can now clap his hands. He also seems a lot more interested in things now. He like to roll his ball off the steps and see what happens.
We have started to look at houses ready to move. Have 2 appointments on Saturday. Looking forward to it.
